This week’s Tip of the Week comes from Patrick Akori, who shares four grounded practices that help him navigate complex environments and continue growing in his Agile journey.
1. Understand culture and keep things simple
My most important tactical tip is to understand the culture of teams and organizations, focus on delivering value, and improve flow. SAFe can feel overwhelming to non practitioners, so when applying it or gaining stakeholder buy in, we have to be clear, keep things simple, and always ensure cultural alignment.
2. Use SAFe Framework articles as your go to resource
The Framework articles are always very detailed and rich. I rely on them because they provide clarity and depth exactly when I need it.
3. Prioritize what matters through timeboxing and collaboration
My go to productivity ritual is to focus on the important things and prioritize them. Timeboxing and collaboration help me maintain flow and ensure that the work stays aligned with the goals that matter most.
4. Follow the flow of knowledge
To stay current, I follow knowledge wherever it is being shared. I am always on SAFe Studio and the SAFe website. I seek help when I need clarity, and I spend time on LinkedIn learning and connecting.
