Practical insights from Leela VenkataSatish Kolla

Start with Context and Learn from Your Community
Each week, our spotlight member shares a Tip of the Week to support practitioners navigating real world challenges. This week, Leela VenkataSatish Kolla shares two lessons that consistently shape how they approach SAFe in complex environments.

1. Begin by understanding your organizational context

When applying SAFe in a complex environment, the first thing I focus on is understanding the organizational context, the challenges we are trying to solve, and the reason SAFe was chosen. Clarifying what success looks like from a business and leadership perspective helps create alignment and sets the transformation up for sustained success.

2. Learn from the experiences of others

I do not believe I need to learn everything through my own trial and error. One of my key productivity and growth habits is engaging with the community, understanding others’ experiences, and learning from both their successes and failures. Tapping into collective wisdom helps me grow faster and make more pragmatic decisions.
