Weekly insights from Steve Adolph to strengthen your SAFe practice

Intent, Reflection, and Continuous Learning
Each Wednesday, the SAFe Connect community hears from our Spotlight member as they share a practical insight to support better flow, stronger teams, and more thoughtful transformation. This week, Steve Adolph offers guidance grounded in decades of experience helping organizations improve through intentional, principle driven Agile practices.

1. Understand the intent behind every practice.

Steve’s practical advice is simple. Do not blindly apply a practice. Take the time to understand the purpose behind it. When you know the why, you can adapt with clarity, teach with confidence, and avoid rigid, mechanical adoption that stalls real learning.

2. Stay grounded through thoughtful reflection.

Steve starts by asking himself a powerful question. What do I need to learn here? That small ritual fuels curiosity, keeps him centered, and helps him approach challenges with a learner’s mindset.

3. Keep learning in every direction.

His approach to growth is steady and intentional. Learn from reading. Learn from participating. Learn from experimenting. Learn from doing. Improvement is not a single step. It is a continuous path.
