Build on your SAFe expertise. Strengthen your AI skills. Get ready to lead what’s next.

The AI-Native SAFe Upgrade Is Here
The way we work is changing. Let’s navigate what comes next together.
AI is changing how organizations plan, collaborate, innovate, and deliver value. But perhaps the more interesting question for all of us is: What does that change mean for the way we work?
What changes when AI becomes part of the team?
Where does human judgment become even more important?
What new decisions, responsibilities, and risks will Scrum Masters, Product Owners, RTEs, architects, SPCs, and other SAFe professionals encounter?
And where are you already starting to see those changes today?
These are questions we’ll be exploring together as a community in the months ahead. And today, there’s a new way to start preparing for them.
Active SAFe professionals can now upgrade to AI-Native SAFe at no additional cost.
The upgrade builds on the SAFe expertise you already have while helping you develop the skills and understanding to lead as AI becomes increasingly embedded in how organizations work.
What does it mean to become AI-Native?
Being ready for the age of AI isn't simply about learning how to use the latest AI tools.
Organizations need people who can think critically about where AI creates value, how humans and AI work together, where human judgment matters most, and how AI can be adopted responsibly at scale.
That's where your existing SAFe expertise becomes particularly valuable.
The AI-Native SAFe upgrade builds on that foundation to strengthen your ability to:
- Lead Human + AI teams
- Guide responsible AI adoption
- Connect AI initiatives to measurable business outcomes
- Increase your strategic value as organizations embrace AI-powered ways of working
And those capabilities may look different depending on your role.
For a Scrum Master, it might mean thinking differently about how you help a team collaborate and deliver value when AI becomes part of the work.
For a Product Owner, new questions emerge around where AI can create customer value—and how you know whether it actually has.
For an RTE, architect, SPC, or other SAFe professional, the implications will be different again.
That's a conversation we want this community to have.
As you explore the new guidance, think about your own role:
What do you think changes most for you in the age of AI? What becomes more important? What becomes less important? And where are you already seeing the shift happen?
Ready to explore what's changing? Complete your upgrade.
We've made the upgrade process simple.
Any version of an active SAFe certification is eligible. When you successfully complete the AI-Native SAFe upgrade and pass the quiz, all of your active SAFe certifications—regardless of their current version—will be upgraded.
The upgrade is:
✓ Free for active SAFe professionals
✓ Self-paced
✓ Less than four hours to complete
✓ Available for any active SAFe certification version

✓ Reflected immediately in your upgraded certifications after completion
You must be an active SAFe Professional to participate. If your certification or membership has expired, you'll need to renew it before you can access the upgrade.
Then come back and tell us what you think.
This is the part we're especially excited about.
Completing the upgrade gives you the new guidance. What happens next is where the community can make it even more valuable.
- What stood out to you?
- What are you most excited to put into practice?
- What changes the way you think about your role?
- And what questions do you still have?
We want to hear from practitioners across roles, industries, and organizations because none of us has all the answers yet. As people begin applying AI-Native SAFe, your experience may help another community member think differently about their own approach—and their experience may do the same for you.
And don't forget to share your upgraded badges with your professional network. Let your peers and colleagues know you're investing in the skills needed to help teams and organizations navigate AI-Native ways of working.
